Again, a little shorter than I expected, but mostly ‘cause it wound up going a slightly different direction than expected. So, here’s Day 7. This was a fun and crazy week and I need to go work on resumes and cosplays and my original story now. But there’ll likely be more of my myth au later on. Maybe. At some point. Yeah.
“Set our course for Dragon Island.”
Hiccup Haddock stared around the deck of his ship, the Night Fury, making sure his crew was running it right. He probably shouldn’t have taken on half the people he had (Gods only knew what fiasco Snotlout and the twins would get into next) but between himself, his first mate Astrid, and his gunner Merida, usually they managed. Hell, those two crazy women could probably run the whole ship on their own, crew be damned. Shaking his head to clear it, the captain moved up onto the helm, where a girl with short, pixie-cut brown hair was marking some charts while steering. “Have you found us a course, Rapunzel?”
“Aye,” she replied quickly, waving a hand down at her maps. “We should arrive in two days, but only if we take a shortcut through Outcast waters.”
Jack’s hair always amused him. Hiccup combed his fingers through it, pulling it backward, before letting go and watching it bounce back into place. He did it again, finding it more entertaining than the movie they were watching. No one was really paying attention to it anyway. Jack was playing…
